Children's Mental Health Worker - Relief Positions

As a member of a collaborative multi-professional team, the Children’s Mental Health Worker-Relief is responsible for creating and maintaining a healing environment for children to heal, learn and grow.

Community Services Manager

The Community Services Manager will provide day to day operational support and supervision of the Community Service programs that provide outreach and mental health services within the Region of Waterloo. The Community Services Manager is expected to focus his/her time on managing and supporting the work of the Community Services department, with a focus on Community Development, CAPC and CPNP Programs.

Supervisor, Children's Mental Health Services

Carizon will soon launch a new service, working in a new way with a small group of families who have asked for a flexible, accessible, respectful and compassionate service. The team will work with families in their homes, their communities, and their schools. The work will include practical support, making connections to the right supports and services, advocacy and case management, respite support, specialized assessments, day treatment, and supportive counselling and evidence based therapies.

Controller

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Controller will be responsible for the finance department, including accounting, budgetting, financial reporting along with the design and management of finance systems, including payroll. This includes timely and accurate month-end closings, audit preparation work, assisting with ensuring compliance with government grants and reporting. The individual will also provide financial analysis into projects and new initiatives and explore new processes and procedures to increase efficiency.

Community Services Summer Student

The summer student will work in neighbourhoods throughout Waterloo Region. The summer student will plan and facilitate programming for children ages 2-5 with their parents and additional groups for children ages 5-12. In addition to planning and facilitating children’s groups, the summer student may work on additional community based projects based on the timelines of the projects and the student’s interest and skills.

In the summer of 2017, Carizon, Greenway-Chaplin Community Centre, Kinbridge Community Association, and Langs will partner for the second year to deliver the YouthForce program. YouthForce will focus on employing young people in the months of July and August in various small scale labour jobs. Young people between 15 and 25 years of age, residing in North Waterloo to South Cambridge, are encouraged to apply.

In the summer of 2017, Carizon, Greenway-Chaplin Community Centre, Kinbridge Community Association, and Langs will partner for the second year to deliver the YouthForce program. YouthForce will focus on employing young people in the months of July and August in various small scale labour jobs. Young people between 15 and 25 years of age, residing in North Waterloo to South Cambridge, are encouraged to apply.

Carizon partners with a variety of educational institutions to assist their students in the process of completing their course requirements. We provide a limited number of unpaid placements each semester of the year in several of our programs.
