Tea Time – Women join together weekly for 8 weeks to discuss issues that pertain to their experiences adjusting to life in Canada, and to learn strategies to enhance their health and well-being. Thursdays 3 – 5pm
Standing Strong (Teen Girls Group) – Designed to empower girls to seek and create opportunities for getting involved in their community, establish healthy coping strategies, inspire self-love and enhance life skills for a bright future! For female youth age 12 -16
Talk it Through – Is an 8 week group for parents of children of all ages. This group provides participants with opportunities to share wisdom, and learn new tool, and support each other on their parenting journey in their new community. This group promises to help promote the total well-being of parents.
Fabulous Kids – children develop and expanding their social – emotional skills in ways that will help them succeed at integrating into their new community. This group runs at the same time and location as our “Talk it Through” parents group and is for children ages 7 to 11
Youth in Two Cultures – This group will assist youth with understanding and recognizing mental health, its manifestation, and how it impacts their lives. This is a 10 week group for male youth age 12 – 16. Fridays 4-6 at Chandler Mowat Community Centre
Youth in Diverse Cultures – A group for older male youth is designed to increase mental health knowledge, de-stigmatize mental health issues, and develop healthy coping skills. This is a 10 week group for male youth age 17 – 24. Tuesdays, 4-6pm, at Downtown Community Centre
