Another year of cinema under the stars

Carizon's fund development team member meeting with the owners of Parkways Ford Lincoln and Kitchener Ford. We were delighted to host our 2nd Annual Family Night at the Movies on September 23rd at our Baden location. This site is the venue for the critical work we do in supporting youth diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), and our Respite program, where we offer a safe space of connection for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and mental health challenges.

We bundled up on a chilly evening for a screening of Disney’s “Encanto” while enjoying popcorn and treats under the stars. It was wonderful to share an evening of meaningful connection with staff, volunteers, and our community members, and it reminded us that connecting with others is an essential component of good mental health.

The night would not have been possible without our presenting sponsors Parkway Ford Lincoln and Kitchener Ford, and the many community businesses who sponsored the event. Because of their support, we continue to bring awareness to the need for mental health and wellbeing services in our Region and advocate to ensure that no family feels alone in their mental health journey. The event was a success thanks to our volunteers, sponsors, participants and donors and we are looking forward to our next event.
