What if I have to cancel an appointment?
To cancel an appointment, please call 519-743-6333 and speak with the receptionist. The receptionist can also reschedule a new appointment for you. To avoid paying a session fee for a cancelled appointment, please provide 24 hours prior notice.
What do I need to bring with me to my first appointment?
This may depend on your individual circumstances and reasons for calling. This will be discussed with your intake worker when you call.
Where do I park?
Free parking is available at Mosaic’s Queen Street lot. During peak times, however, if parking is unavailable at the main lot, Mosaic has an alternate lot on Mitchell Street across from the Centre.
Is what I say in counselling kept in confidence?
Any information you share with your counsellor will be kept in confidence. Release of any information outside the Centre requires signed consent of all parties receiving service. We are, however, obliged by law to reveal our knowledge of child abuse or neglect or dangerous acts to yourself or others. We are also required to release records when subpoenaed through a court order.
If you come for counselling with another person, ie. your spouse, we approach confidentiality from the persepctive of the couple or family. Please make know to us any special confidentiality concerns you have at the start of your counselling.
