Carizon works collaboratively with families, service providers and the community to achieve the best outcomes for each person served based on the contributions of all involved.
Just call us at 519-743-6333 or email us at info@carizon.ca. Our receptionist will connect you with an Intake Worker who will talk with you and determine an appropriate course of action which may include an appointment with a counsellor or a referral to another community resource that would better meet your needs. Members of EWP programs, please refer to the For Members of a Carizon EWP page for more information on how to make an appointment.
To cancel an appointment, please call 519-743-6333 and speak with the receptionist. The receptionist can also reschedule a new appointment for you. To avoid paying a session fee for a cancelled appointment, please provide 24 hours prior notice.
This may depend on your individual circumstances and reasons for calling. This will be discussed with your intake worker when you call.
All services at Carizon have costs. Every effort is made to ensure that the costs are not barriers to receiving help. Clients receiving individual, marital, family or certain group counselling services are charged a fee. To accommodate different circumstances, however, Carizon has a sliding fee schedule based on family size and income. The cost of providing counselling services at Carizon is $125 per hour. In your initial interview, the intake worker will review the fee system, discuss subsidies that may be applicable and negotiate your fee based on our sliding fee schedule. Many employers pay the counselling costs for their employees through an employee assistance plan. Fees are not charged to clients for credit counselling, for family violence programs, for sexual assault programs, or directly to clients from Ontario Works and Ontario Disability Support Programs.
Free parking is available at all locations. During peak times, however, visitors may have to park a little further away. There is also nearby public parking – both free and paid – within a short walk from Carizon.

If you come for counselling with another person, ie. your spouse, we approach confidentiality from the perspective of the couple or family. Please make known to us any special confidentiality concerns you have at the start of your counselling.
