Volunteer Tutoring

Volunteer Tutoring

Carizon is excited to share that in partnership with local grassroots organizations and the WRDSB we are expanding the opportunity to access tutoring support across Waterloo Region. The goal would be to have tutoring sites at various locations throughout the Region as well as maintain some virtual tutoring.

We are in the planning stages of this new initiative, along with some of our partner agencies, and will keep you updated as things progress. With this new tutoring initiative, we can reach even more high school youth than we were before. Students across the Region can attend and get the academic support they need to achieve success and reach their goals.

To ensure Youth across the Region achieve this success, we need help from volunteers who are willing to support youth in their academic journey. It could be the difference in whether a youth graduates High School. You can find more information about the position here.

If you would like to apply to be a tutor, please complete this application here.

Student Opportunities

Student Opportunities

Carizon partners with a variety of educational institutions to assist their students in the process of completing their course requirements. We provide a limited number of unpaid placements each semester of the year in several of our programs. These placements are often booked 6-12 months in advance, so students wishing to be considered should act accordingly.

Students or their advisors can send an enquiry directly to the Volunteer & Student Placement Coordinator by email: kmcarthur@carizon.ca. They should include an updated resume and provide the following information: school name, program of studies, year of program, anticipated placement start and end dates, total hours required, days/hours per week desired, preferred Carizon program.
